Lifgha tan-nar (The Fire Snake) is a mythical creature described as a serpent surrounded by flames. It appears unexpectedly, accompanied by lightning and fire. This being is often associated with danger and mysticism, inhabiting places with a history of sin or tragedy.
The creature headed toward the Hell Valley (Wied il-Infern), a nearby location, where it is said to continue its existence.
On another occasion, the Fire Snake, appearing as lightning, tried to enter a house overlooking the same valley. The residents were saved by a bright light that appeared inside, driving the serpent away.
